Youthful Energy and Global Connections: The OCEANS Network Forum in Prague
When international exchange meets the historic charm of Prague, the result is a vibrant tapestry of ideas and energy. In July 2024, our team was selected to cover the OCEANS Network (Organisation for Cooperation, Exchange and Networking) forum. This landmark event brought together students and alumni of international exchange programs to celebrate the community's achievements over the past year.
For this project, we deployed our premier local resources in the Czech Republic, ensuring perfect synergy between photo and video production on-site.
Local Expertise: Capturing the "Prague Spirit" with Yana
Our lead photographer for the project was Yana, our dedicated local specialist in Prague. Her deep knowledge of the city and her ability to connect with a young, multinational audience were key to the project's success.
"The audience was multinational, lively, and incredibly open," says Yana. "The venue had a unique, almost club-like atmosphere with interesting textures and drapery, which added a touch of informal flair to the shots. We didn't just shoot a reportage; we created a visual link to the city, capturing everything from the registration desks and emotional keynote speeches to genuine networking moments. We even managed to hold an interview session in the courtyard under the bright July sun, capturing that perfect summer Prague vibe."
Cinematic Storytelling: Video Solutions by Igor
While Yana worked on emotional stills and a rapid photo selection (delivered within just 3 hours for social media), our videographer Igor was crafting a dynamic video narrative of the forum.
Igor’s task was to go beyond simple documentation and convey the spirit of the community through modern content formats:
Conference Highlights: A high-impact 3-minute video capturing the best moments of the two-day event, from opening remarks to the final applause.
Testimonial Series: Recording and post-production of 6 professional video testimonials. Each video was enhanced with sound design, titles, and subtitles for maximum social media reach.
Atmospheric B-roll: Igor focused on the details—the branding, the smiles of the participants, and those spontaneous "live" interaction moments that make video truly engaging.
Seamless Execution in a Non-Formal Setting
Despite a tight schedule — 8-hour sessions on the first day and an intensive morning program on the second — the technical execution was flawless. The venue's non-traditional setting actually helped: participants were happy to pose for headshots against the banners and actively interacted with the camera during group discussions and round-table sessions.
