Our recent production for DHL in Istanbul was a definitive example of this. With a specialized crew of two event photographers (Anton and Anna) and one event videographer (Emil), we provided 360-degree coverage that balanced technical precision with dynamic storytelling.
The Technical Challenge: Versatility Across Iconic Locations
From the historic textures of the Old City to the sophisticated ballrooms of the Fairmont Quasar and Intercontinental, our team had to adapt to rapidly changing environments. "This project was a true test of versatility,"explains Anton, our lead photographer. "We were constantly switching gears—moving from capturing high-energy, fast-paced outdoor activities in the city to managing the complex, moody lighting of high-end evening galas. Our goal was to maintain a consistent, premium visual aesthetic throughout the entire three-day production."
The Strategy: Rapid Response & Social-First Workflow
In the age of instant communication, the speed of delivery is as important as the quality of the shot. To ensure our work had maximum impact for DHL, we implemented a specialized on-site workflow:
High-Speed Turnaround: Our photographers delivered batches of 100–150 edited highlights every evening. This allowed the organizers to share the day's successes immediately, keeping the energy alive for both attendees and digital audiences.
Seamless Video Support: Emil managed a continuous stream of RAW footage, coordinating with on-site editors to ensure high-quality cinematic clips were ready for daily montage reels and closing presentations.
Precision Under Pressure: Mastering the Gala Ceremony
The grand finale presented the most significant technical hurdle: a high-volume award ceremony with strict requirements for every single shot.
"The Gala was where our professional experience truly paid off," the team shares. "We faced massive LED stage screens that caused significant flicker and refresh-rate issues on camera. It took deep technical expertise to calibrate our equipment on the fly, ensuring every winner had a sharp, magazine-quality portrait without the distortion or 'banding' often caused by high-bright digital backgrounds."

"When you cover a three-day event with this level of intensity, your role evolves into being an integral part of the event's pulse," says Anna. "Seeing the positive feedback from guests the very next morning when they saw their photos is what pushes us to keep raising the bar."
