On 20 May 2026, The Dolder Grand — the historic five-star hotel overlooking Zurich — hosted the SIP-BILANZ Health & Longevity Conference, organized by SIP Medical Family Office together with BILANZ magazine. It was the second edition of the conference, moving from Park Hyatt Zurich the year before to a venue that matched the growing scale of the event. Our photographer Denis was on site to document the day.
The conference brought physicians, scientists, family office representatives, and leaders from the insurance industry together for one deliberately unglamorous mission: separating genuine, evidence-based longevity science from hype. Beyond the medical and scientific programme, sessions also addressed the socio-economic side of longer lives — from the strain on healthcare systems to medical inflation and how health insurance is adapting to it. It made for an audience with as much interest in the numbers behind longevity as in the science itself.
Scale and Atmosphere in the Main Sessions
With physicians, researchers, and family office leaders filling the room for a full day of sessions, Denis worked to convey both the scale and the energy of the event — wide shots of a packed room and an engaged audience, framed against a stage that matched the prestige of the venue. Between keynotes and panel discussions, he stayed close enough to catch the individual reactions — a nod of agreement, a raised hand during Q&A — that make a plenary session feel alive rather than staged.
"With this kind of audience, you can't afford to be noticed," says Denis. "The room is full of people who are used to being photographed carefully or not at all, so the work is about reading the moment from a distance — knowing when a keynote is about to land, when a panel is about to get an interesting answer — without ever stepping into anyone's line of sight."
Networking, Branding, and the Business of Longevity
Outside the main sessions, the conference ran on conversation — registration, coffee breaks, and a cocktail reception where family office representatives, physicians, and partners compared notes. Denis worked the room during these breaks to capture genuine networking moments, group shots by the SIP branding, and the exhibition area, giving the client a set of images that double as documentation and as marketing material for future editions of the conference.
