Covering the Converge World Tour 2025 | Event Photographer & Videographer in Frankfurt:

Not every conference needs a full two-person crew glued to the agenda from doors-open to last call. In May 2025, our team took on a different kind of brief in Frankfurt: a corporate technology conference at the Radisson Blu, held as part of a global tour bringing together IT and cybersecurity leaders, with our own photographer Anton and videographer Igor covering the day with two separate, purpose-built schedules.

The brief itself was refreshingly specific: a full photo report of the day, and a handful of natural, in-motion video clips — guests moving between sessions, registration, and the early evening — to be cut into a presentation reel for the following year's edition. No need to document every minute; just capture the right moments, and edit fast.

A Right-Sized Crew, Two Schedules

Rather than book a standard two-person team working identical hours, we matched the crew to the brief. Anton started at 8AM — two hours ahead of the official opening — to capture the team setting up and the very first guests arriving, then stayed on through the day and into the early evening reception. Igor worked a tighter window, from 9AM to 5PM, focused purely on capturing movement and energy: people walking between the panel rooms, registration, and the networking areas, without needing to cover the evening event.

This kind of flexible staffing is often the more efficient choice for clients who know exactly what they need — a full photo archive on one hand, and a short library of authentic action footage on the other, rather than two people repeating the same coverage all day.

Photographing Panels, Portraits, and the Venue

The Radisson Blu's conference spaces gave Anton a mix of settings to work with over the course of the day — from packed panel discussions to one-on-one portraits of speakers.
"The lighting throughout the venue was genuinely excellent," Anton says. "It meant I could move between very different situations — wide shots of the room, tighter panel coverage, close portraits of the speakers — and know the exposure would stay consistent no matter which lens I picked up next."

Panel discussions were shot on a 24-70mm to stay close to the conversation without losing context, wide venue and audience shots came from a 16-35mm, and speaker portraits were captured on a 70-200mm to compress the background and keep the focus on the person on stage.

Same-Day Turnaround, No Heavy Correction Needed

Good light doesn't just make for better photos on the day — it makes for a faster edit afterward.

"Because the lighting was so even and well-balanced across the venue, I barely had to touch color correction during editing," Anton explains. "It meant the photo report could go out to the client the same day, without cutting corners on quality."

For a client working across agencies and time zones, that same-day turnaround meant the photo archive was ready to use almost as soon as the event wrapped.

Building a Library for Next Year's Reel

On the video side, the goal wasn't a full recap film but a set of short, natural clips the client could draw on when building next year's promotional reel — guests arriving and moving through registration, the energy between sessions, and the first moments of the early evening reception. Rather than staging anything, Igor worked to catch these moments as they happened, giving the client a genuine, unscripted library of movement and atmosphere to work with rather than a single fixed edit.
