Getting to Lake District
You need a car to explore this area, for sure.
You can rent a car in UK using these sites: AutoEurope.ru or Rentalcars.com
You have to use navigator and have also a printed a map, as mobile network is not available at some spots of the area, so, Google Maps did not always help me here.
Hotels in Lake District
Local hotels provide a unique stay in the lake area among really virgin British nature. The Lake District is home to a big variety of wildlife due to its pure environment, lakes, and forests.
I stayed at YHA Wasdale Hall, a hostel popular with young people from all over the world. Although I am not a fan of hostels, I can definitely recommend this type of accommodation here.
First of all, the hostel is in the incredibly beautiful location, 20 meters from a picturesque lake with mountain views.
Second, the design of the hostel is very stylish and atmospheric.
Third, it offers an amazing hot breakfast and even three meals a day.
I did not book the hostel in advance, so my accommodation on arrival was £29 with breakfast. For later dates the prices started from £13.
