Disneyland Paris

The park area is split into 5 zones in the form of a pie with the Sleeping Beauty Castle in the middle. You can observe them from the windows of the slowly moving train.
In short, the first zone has the theme of Robinson Crusoe, Indiana Jones adventures and Jack Sparrow and his legendary ship. The Adventure Isle with a maze is also located here.

The second zone is the Wild West full of pubs, saloons, the Indians and cowboys.

The third zone is America of XIX century with big variety of restaurants, cafes and boutiques, which hard to leave without a souvenir.
In the forth zone you can ride a roller coaster with the Jules Verne's adventures.

The opportunity to see Snow White, Peter Pen and the rest fairy tale characters is available in the fifth zone of the Disneyland.

Working hours of the Disneyland

The park is open all year round. It opens at 10 a. m. every day. Walt Disney Studios Park closes at 7 p. m. and the Disneyland Park is functioning until 8 p. m. in winter and 10 p. m. in summer.

To get into the park before everyone at 8:30 a.m. you have to have Disney Hotel Easy Pass provided to the guests of the Disney hotels. The list of the hotels with Disney Hotel Easy Pass and the room rates are available on this page.

Disney Stars on Parade

In winter Disney Stars Parade starts at 5 p.m. It is better to stay in your watching point 15-30 before the parade starts. The stars set off from the Sleeping Beauty Castle and move to the direction of the main entrance along the main street.

Disneyland fireworks

During winter the fireworks in the second park, Walt Disney Studio, start at 6:30 p.m. at Hollywood Tower and in the Disneyland Park - at 7 p.m. The summer schedule is different and you have to check it on the official site or ask the stuff at the entrance.

Tickets to Disneyland Paris

The prices for tickets vary based on timing – the season and the day of the week. They are more expensive on holidays and on week-ends. It also depends on the number of days and if you are visiting the both parks or just one of them.

On average, the ticket for one day in one park on working days will cost you from 42EUR for adults and 40 EUR for kids.

It is cheaper to buy a ticket online on the official site of the Disneyland: it will save you at least 30 EUR. The link to the site is here!

For example: if you buy a ticket from the park’s cash desk, 1 day visit to one park is 79 EUR for adult, and 71 EUR for kids while online it is 42 EUR (rate MINI).

Attention! - You have to buy a ticket minimum 1 day before the visit as it is the required time for its activation. Buying tickets online on the site will also allow you to avoid queues. The time that you can spend in the park in queues can take from 20 minutes to 1 hour.

If you want to avoid queues you can purchase the tickets FastPass.

From 2016 the purchased tickets are active during the whole year. There are 3 big groups of tickets: the cheapest – working day tickets, more expensive -week-ends and holidays, the most expensive – Christmas and Halloween.

2, 3 and even 4 days tickets are also available, with lower price per day vs single day ticket. You can also use them not at once and within a year. That means if you plan your holiday in Paris you can schedule your visits to Disneyland in between the days you are spending in the city.

How to get to Disneyland Paris

There are few ways of getting to Disneyland.

For example, the train RER on the line A from the station Opera -its final stop is within 2 min walk from the central entrance to the park. It runs every 15 minutes and the trip takes around 40 minutes. The tickets are available in the terminals in the railway station. You can pay with cash or a card. Theticketpriceis 7,6 EUR.

How to get to Disneyland Paris from Charles de Gaulle and Orly Airports. Disneyland Shuttle

From Charles de Gaulle Airport to Disneyland you can get with Magic Shuttle, the trip takes 45 minutes. The ticket price is 23 EUR for adults and 10 EUR for kids. The bus goes from the terminal 2F, exit no.8

Tickets are available at the red information desk near the exit. There are no branded direction boards in the terminal, so, it is better to get a map at any information desk or directly go to the 1st floor of the terminal 2F. While waiting for the bus you can try your luck in the fortune wheel (it is for free, you just need to scan your ticket).

From Orly airport you can also get to Disneyland for 23 EUR with the Magic Shuttle Disneyland.

The most thrilling attractions of Disneyland Paris

There are 65 attractions in the parks and their number is increasing every year. Amongst the most thrilling ones is the American rollercoaster in the shape of cannon. You are riding in the closed dark tube constantly turning upside down. This ride is not for every adult, not talking about kids. The kids below 120 cm are not allowed.

There are plenty of interesting things in the park of Walt Disney Studios. The most frightful, in my view, is the elevator falling down at a very high speed.

You should also take the train and travel around. There is always something happening on your way: explosions, fire or water streams blowing right against you.
By all means, visit the attraction of the Pirates of the Caribbean as it is considered the best in the world. And, of course, the Sleeping Beauty Castle is a must, being the eldest it is still not less interesting and beautiful.

How many days to spend in Disneyland Paris

One day is not enough for the Disneyland. I think that only one zone will take one day (taking into account the lines at the most popular attractions). So, my advice is either to allocate at least 2 -3 days for the park or focus only on the attractions that you really want to visit and stick to it. Anyways, time flies here so fast!

To save time on traveling from Paris to the park and back it is better to stay in one of the hotels near Disneyland. How to search for the good deals for the rooms is in this article.
